Kevin Turner

Kevin Turner, a resident of Grant, has served as BECi’s Executive Vice President and General Manager since January 2009.  He holds an associate degree in industrial electronics from Sowela Technically Community College and is a 2011 graduate of NRECA's Management Internship Program.

He began his tenure as an employee of BECi in August of 1992 as an apparatus technician.  Then in 2000 he was promoted to supervisor of metering and substation control systems.  His last position began in 2007 as BECi’s Vice President of Operations and Construction Services prior to advancing to its chief officer.

Mr. Turner is a member of Cherry Grove Baptist Church, the American Angus Association, and the Louisiana Electrical Distribution Cooperative Managers’ Association, presently serving as its Vice President.

Engineering and Technical Services

Kevin Aycock

 
Kevin Aycock

Kevin Aycock, a resident of DeRidder, has served as BECi’s Vice President of Engineering and Technical Services since October 2008.  Aycock holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, La. He is a registered professional engineer and a licensed master electrician for the state of Louisiana.

Previously, Aycock worked for 14 years as general manager of Kulaga Construction Co., Inc., DeRidder, La. – an electrical contractor specializing in the construction of transmission, distribution, and substation facilities. Also, Aycock worked six years as a senior electrical engineer for CLECO Corporation, located in Pineville, Louisiana in the areas of distribution protection and standards.

Kay Fox

 
Kay Fox

Kay Fox is the Vice President of Marketing and Member Services and has worked for BECi since 1995. 

Fox holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and a Master of Education degree in Instructional Technology from McNeese State University.  She is a member of the Chamber Southwest Louisiana Board of Directors, the Southwest Louisiana Entrepreneurial and Economic Development (SEED) Center Advisory Board, and is President-Elect of the DeRidder Rotary Club. 

In 1999, Fox was honored as the DeRidder Rotarian of the Year.  She is past president of the Louisiana Member Services Association, past board member of the United Way of Southwest Louisiana Communications Committee, a graduate of the Southwest/Chamber Leadership Program and served on the SWLA Chamber Leadership Development Committee for seven years.

Fox has played a role in the Dixie Youth and East Beauregard Little Dribblers Association as coach, board member and bookkeeper.

She and her husband, Nick, reside in Dry Creek and have three children.

Operations and Construction Services

Scott Deshotel

Scott Deshotel

Scott Deshotel was recently promoted from the position of Field Superintendent of Construction to Vice President of Operations. Deshotel will be responsible for implementing procedures for the safe and efficient construction, operation and maintenance of BECi’s transmission and distribution system and warehousing, line materials, vehicles and mechanic shop.

Deshotel was promoted to vice president after the retirement of Mark Royer, who served at BECi for over 39 years. Deshotel, a sixteen-year veteran of BECi, began his career as a journeyman lineman in 2001 and moved up through the ranks of lead lineman and crew chief to superintendent.

Deshotel resides in Kinder with his wife, Rebecca. They have two children and two grandchildren.

Finance and Corporate Services

Ashley Mazilly

 
Ashley Mazilly

Ashley Mazilly, a resident of DeQuincy, comes to this position with 12-years of experience in accounting and finance. Prior to joining BECi, Mazilly worked in the accounting department of Lake Charles Women and Children’s Hospital. She has served as the cooperative’s finance manager for the past nine years and was voted employee of the year in 2015. Mazilly is a charter member of the DeQuincy Rotary Club and represents BECi in the DeQuincy Chamber of Commerce.

Mazilly is an alumna of Iowa High School and holds a bachelor’s degree of accounting from McNeese State University. In addition to her degree, Mazilly has been certified by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) and National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation (CFC) as a Cooperative Financial Professional (CFPC), a competency-based program to enhance the effectiveness and deepen the understanding of electric co-op finance.

Mazilly resides in DeQuincy with her family; husband, Rodney and children, Hadlee and Jett.
